Things have been going really well. Like really well. If I talk to the average person online or in day-to-day and I say things are going great they give me the blank stare and do not know how to respond. I feel as though it is taboo to say that things are going well. “Well have you heard of this political issue, what's your stance on this war, the world is burning due to climate change, corporation Y is ruining this, I can’t afford such and such item, pandemic could rebound.”
Yes. I try to be a well-informed citizen globally the best I can. Do I have to let that dictate if I am happy with my life? No. Do I try to volunteer my time and resources to purposes I think are valuable? Yes. More importantly, when I am asking how things are going for them, there does not appear to be anything above average, things are good and their basic needs per Maslow are being met, but there does not appear to be any real engagement in life. Nothing passionate or very enjoyable. The kind of passion where even when they are talking they are smiling and could keep gabbing for hours about it. I do not hear any of that. They have possibly fallen into a velvet rut.

The feeling of “Is this all there is?”, even when all things in your life seem to be trending positively.
